Mrs. Sawtell’s personal papers were distributed among her relatives following her passing. The original documents used as source material for this collection are in the exhibit publisher's possession.

A Field Guide to the Birds is under copyright. The Grace Sawtell Papers exhibit was created as part of Master's-level coursework for the iSchool at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and, as such, falls under fair use doctrine.
